CHARACTER SCILLOUETTE DESIGNS

CHARACTER PROP GUN DESIGN & 3D RENDERING

I conducted a real world exploration of gun silhouettes to find a design that best suited the character. After selecting a design I liked, I created my own custom gun based on real life references. I then modeled it in Maya and rendered it using Substance Painter.

I explored diverse views of guns and experimented with color options. I selected two character silhouettes that would best complement the gun design, adding interactions with them. I also customized the gun design, adjusting it according to the chosen color scheme.
CHARACTER DEVELOPEMENT
CHARACTER EXPLORATION & SKETCHES

I brainstormed my idea and created multiple sketches of a character to explore the mood and overall tone during the design process. Through this exploration, I was also able to determine which silhouettes were most effective and which ones to avoid.
CHARACTER SELECTION & COLOUR

After selecting the final silhouette for the character, I developed the design to complement that form. I then created multiple color palettes and combinations to determine which best captured the character’s essence. In the end, I chose the third option, which featured a combination of blue and white hair, as it best reflected the character’s overall personality, which is calm, analytical, and emotionally distant.
